Officer on Special Duty (in the rank of Chief Engineer), NJPC Limited ( A Govt. of IndiaEnterprise) (Dec 1988 – Dec 1990)
The NJPC now known as Satluj Jal Vidyut Nigam Limited-SJVNL was incorporated on May 24, 1988 as a joint venture of the Government of India ( GOI ) and the Government of Himachal Pradesh to plan, investigate, organize, execute, operate and maintain Hydro-electric power projects. The present authorized share capital of SJVN is Rs 7000 crores.

  • Effectively facilitated/executed the functioning and operationalisation of the newly constituted NJPC, under Ministry of Power, which is executing the largest Hydro Electric Power Project in India – right from the land acquisition stages to construction contract &equipments etc.
  • Additionally, facilitated operationalisation of the three newly incorporated PSEs viz. National Power Transmission Corporation (PGCIL) , Power Finance Corporation(PFC), Tehri Hydro Development Corporation (THDC)
  • Provided proactive leadership for Personnel, HRD, Administration, Legal, Vigilance & Public Grievances Finance, Accounts, Media Relations and Corporate Communications functions, as the OSD, NJPC.
  • Also looked after the work relating to Company Secretary, NJPC, until induction of a regular incumbent.
  • Interaction at the highest levels, with World Bank officials, MEA officials and other International Finance Agencies and In-Charge of visiting High Level Foreign Delegations and there meeting with PSE’s / Ministries/ State Governments.
  • Co-ordination with Central Electricity Authority (CEA), and different divisions of the Ministry of Power and various Departments of the State of Himachal Pradesh, HP’SSEB for land acquisition, construction issues etc.
